Site Review - Fort Riverway
By: Kenny
Fort Riverway, led by Streth Longstream, is one of the oldest still-running Redwall websites, and one of the up-and-coming favorites of Redwallers everywhere. Let's take a look inside...
On Entering
The first page of Fort Riverway is a simple intro page that lets you decide between frames and no frames. Once in the site itself, you'll notice the simple though elegant design of the pages. Fort Riverway is frequently updated, and there are more activities than you could shake a stick at.
The PRO's
The site is quick-loading: no having to wait minutes for the content to show up. And the content: it's top-grade for a Redwall club. There are frequent competitions and polls, so there's almost always some fresh content on the site.
Fort Riverway boasts of 99 members right now, and it takes a lot to keep them happy. Therefore, the site offers many Redwall Club mainstays, such as missions, riddles, chats, and others. However, the camp puts a spin on things by not simply giving them generic names; instead, you go to the "Healer's Hall", or "the Library", or "the Orchard." It adds a little spice to the same-ol' stuff.
The CON's
None really come to my mind right off. The page could benefit from a better design, but the one they have now works fairly well nonetheless.
SUMMATION
Fort Riverway is a well entrenched, nicely designed site. If you want to join a good Redwall club, you should give a lot of thought to joining this one. It comes highly recommended.
