RWOnline - The New E-zine
By: Josh
Yes, it's true! Terrouge Magazine is no longer the only Redwall E-zine on the net. This new mag is entitled RWOnline, and is located at http://travel.to/rwonline. As you all know, Terrouge was the first e-zine. So, the question is naturally raised, 'Is it just a copy off Terrouge?' The answer is, for the most part, no.
To begin with, I found their front page a little lacking. It doesn't have a really flowing, impressive design, although it certainly wasn't bad. The furry art was right up there near the top, although, in all honesty, I can't say the artist is quite as good as Kelly. It seemed like the main problem with the first page's look is that it tried to cram too much stuff into one spot. Their logo was very nicely done, however, and their list of contents was certainly very impressive for a magazine in its first issue.
I soon began a more in depth look at the magazine, and was quite pleased. Their articles were very informative and creative. The webmaster/mistress seems to have some good sources. The writing style is also excellent. Best of all, I found that the articles were not at all from the genre of Terrouge articles. The two main articles were on awards, what they do, and how to win them, and the new look of Redwall.Org. I found both to be very interesting and well written. The article on awards had some good insights, as well as a very impressive list of awards. I did find one error, but nothing bad; the author stated that all awards have to be applied for, which is generally true, but not entirely. Aside from that, however, the article was wonderful.
I truly enjoyed reviewing this site and looking through it. I hope that many of you will visit it, because I know full well that Terrouge can't cover all sides of ROC* life. This site, in my opinion, provides an excellent parallel to Terrouge Magazine.
