The number of active threads I've seen lately number far more than in recent times. While there's always a bit of up and down during the summer from people having time out from school, but busy with vacations, it seems to me that, considering the amount of people around, the speed at which threads are moving and the number of them that are being seen to conclusion, activity is at the highest it's been for the past two years. Rather than a big hodgepodge of players getting bogged down with everything, there's a smaller amount getting more done.
Of course, it could just be the BlackShip just
rocks.

The writers of Battlestar Galactica had an interesting concept: if they were scared of or uncomfortable with what they were writing, they were going to go ahead and do it. ... As a writer myself, I believe I can safely assume that if I ever scare myself, feel unsettled or nauseated by what I've written, or are unsure if people will react well to my characters or stories because of what they are (and not, for instance, how badly I've written them), that I must have finally done something right.
