Terrouge.com

Postby Miskett on Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:17 am

Ladies and gentlebeasts, over the next week we ask you to please update your bookmarks for Terrouge. Due to a long-standing problem with ownership of the domain name (terrouge.com), we have had to reregister a fresh domain for Terrouge. Unfortunately terrouge.com is still owned by Kenny and despite our best efforts to contact him, we have not been successful; this means we can't renew the domain name.

In consequence, we would ask that you all update your bookmarks to http://www.terrougeproductions.com - this link is active now. The current terrouge.com domain name will expire in a week, so if you can't reach Terrouge after then, make sure you have the right address.

In a few months we hope to be able to regain our former terrouge.com link, however please consider www.terrougeproductions.com to be the official and only link to Terrouge from now on.

Cheers,

Lucy & Lauren
Terrouge Director and General Fish, Door and Mentos Manager since January 2009.

Hey, FYI I believe the forums are on the terrouge.com domain as well (forums.terrouge.com)

Those are moving too, right?

You'll find them at terrougeproductions.com/forums, and in about ten minutes I'll have brought forums.terrougeproductions.com to life.

I'll be going through and cleaning up links in the next few days to make sure everything uses the new domain name; if you all notice anything more that needs my attention I'd be so grateful if you'd PM me or something. Thanks, Brock.

It's not so much a move as a substitution. We're staying on the same servers and everything, just entering the room through a different door.

Terrouge doesn't like change. Remember Firebird? Terrouge almost died. Hope kenny gets contacted soon.

I really don't see that this change is at all related to the Firebird experiment. In fact the only thing they have in common is they would both be classified as change, but past that I see no relevant similarities.

Honestly, if we're going to have people make a stink over this and/or leave Terrouge over then allow me to be the first to say goodbye to them. >.>

But really, I don't see it happening. Even if we never get in touch with Kenny and keep www.terrougeproductions.com 'til our twentieth anniversary. Harmless change.

Two seconds after reading the announcement my bookmark for Terrouge was updated.

I will now move on with life.
Will work for Mike and Ikes.

The only thing I'm worried about is that members who haven't been on here in a while might not know how to get to Terrouge.

And what does a 20'th aniversary have to do with anything?

I'm gonna laugh if someone leaves Terrouge just because of this.

Drunkambrose, please stop picking a fight with the admins. There really is nothing they can do besides change the domainname temporarily, and if you look back at Miskett's original post, you'll see that they hope to move back as soon as possible.

Sheesh, It's not a big deal guys. When anyone who wants to go here realizes terrouge.com doesn't work, they'll just google 'terrouge' to see what's up. That's what I would do, anyway.
My friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so ... yeah".

On a stop light green means go, red means stop and yellow means slow down, but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means 'hold on,' yellow means 'go ahead,' and red means, 'where the heck did you get that banana at?

Me too.

And I didn't mean "I'm gonna laugh if someone leaves Terrouge because of this" in a bad way, as in If someone leaves Terrouge for such a small thing, then they must not care about Terrouge very much.

And now it doesn't. The page says that the domain name has expired. Does this mean that it was just delayed by a year?

Terrouge Productions is looking kind of spotty as well. None of the links work, including the magazine, and all the pictures are not displaying.

I'm looking in to all of this-- the reason all the links on terrougeproductions.com don't work is because they and most everything are pointing to terrouge.com. Please bear with me as I try to track down people who know more about this than I do.

Poor Therin! I hope you're able to track people down eventually. It seems to be rather tricky these days. :?
