Rest in Peace, Brian Jacques

Postby Ashen Fox on Mon Feb 07, 2011 10:22 pm

Redwall author Brian Jacques passed away this weekend. Without him, none of us would be here. From all of us, thank you for everything, Mr. Jacques.

Terrouge will put out one final issue as a tribute to him. Any artwork, tribute, or anything is more than welcome. Help us remember the man who started it all, and email it to us at terrouge.productions@gmail.com .

Thank you.

EDIT:: In the interests of making sure everyone's gets read, tributes should cap out at about 500 words. Again, thanks.

He will be sorely missed. Missed, but never forgotten, his legacy will live on.
His death is much like that of Methuselah, from his first Redwall book, Redwall. A sudden passing that left everyone in shock. So it is to me, at least.

Mr. Jacques, Redwall Abbey will sorely miss you. But its walls will not crumble and its watchers will never lose vigilance. Their destiny lives on.
And so does ours.

May he rest in peace.

Does this mean that Terrouge is going to be retired?

Is this still open? :( If so I'll write something out in the morning when I'm more awake.

Also.. forgive me, but I've never followed the magazine as closely as I really should have through lack of time, but do you have a cover being worked on? If not I'd like to volunteer to make one for it.

Thrush: At this point, I do not know.

Ottakar: I'm afraid the deadline's past. I'm sorry. As for the tribute issue, we do have a cover lined up.

Terrogue is in its last legs as is, sadly.

Though personally I cannot think of a greater tribute than to get Terrouge active again and begin doing monthly issues once more.

Rest in peace Brian, I will never forget that first book i picked up, which began my journey onto the path of a reader and a writer.

I like that idea. I kind of fell out of the ROC for a while with computer issues and being swamped with other things. But I'd be happy to help or... apply, however it's done. I'm upgrading my harddrive tomorrow too which means I can get a lot more done.

Edit : Harddrive is here, installed and running. :)
